A Quick Pre-trip update

Brandon and I have an early morning ahead of us...but thought I'd get some things on here before I have a chance to procrastinate.

First off, we've been in Terrace for Christmas! We got in around 4ish on Christmas eve and have kept pretty busy. For the first time we were able to see a lot of people. Some people I hadn't seen since our wedding! Just goes to show, we really gotta come visit more often ^_^

Christmas was a nice, calm event. Florence, Bill, Brandon, Erica, and I did the pancake breakfast thing. This was followed by an afternoon of vegging before Florence and I started on dinner. This year's dinner was by far the best I'd had in a long time. It helps when the person cooking the turkey actually knows what they are doing (unlike my generally sad attempts) ^_^. For dinner we were joined by Grandma(on Brandon's side). Probably the greatest part was teaching her to play Ticket to Ride!

Then there was sledding with Matthew Taron, coffee and sugar cookies with Alex, Coffee/Tea/Dinner with Karlynne and Ashley(and briefly with Chris), dinner with Sarah and Justin, lunch with more relatives, a wonderful visit with my Dad, and probably more things that I can't think of anymore >.< Busy, but worth it!!

I miss people so much that I've decided on a New Year's "Resolution". I generally dislike resolutions, but mostly it's just a goal that happens to coincide with the time of year. Anyways, what it is is... KEEP IN TOUCH WITH PEOPLE! There's really no excuse as to why I've been out of thouch with a lot of people, so now I really want to put some effort into maintainting some relationships.

To those that I didn't get to see, hopefully next time!

To everyone, I hope your Christmas was great and have a wonderful New Year!

Ya the resolution thing is a tuffy...I just try to set the bar at a reasonable level...not set myself up for failure, you know? I'm still deciding if mine should be 'learn to make sugar cookies' or 'be less obsessed with maintaining the right room temp at home'. Don't think I can do both...gotta pick one. Happy New Years from down here in Vancouver!

I suck at keeping in touch with people, too. :) I'm glad you two made it home safely!
