The husband is gone for a few days. When he used to work night shifts, I remember having the whole bed to myself being a lovely treat. Last night, however, wasn’t so lovely. It got to the point where I wound up resorting to my sleeping aid, and even those don’t help me to sleep through the night… At least it doesn’t make me cranky during the day.
“But why is Brandon out of town?”, you may be asking yourself.
He was shortlisted for the Medicine Hat fire department and is taking an aptitude test tomorrow morning! My prayers have been prayed and our fingers are crossed x^.^x Despite how frustrating the process has been these last few years, just the fact that he’s being short listed is proof that on paper he’s a desirable candidate.

Autumn is creeping it’s way in. We’ve hardly had a summer, and already the leaves are starting to change and fall. I’m not too disappointed. Summer heat is usually more heat than I can take. Fall is by far my favourite season. The cooler temperature, the seasonal food, the colours, and the general mood that washes over. I’ve started to take my lattes hot, having steamed milk at night, and drinking hot tea at work. Long sleeve shirts are starting to creep into my wardrobe, as well as the desperate want for a sweater dress and a cape!
Fashion isn’t really something I’m generally too concerned with, but once in a while there are a few articles that I can’t help but moon over. The cape is definitely at the top of my want list. I don’t need it, as I have a great coat that I bought a few years ago that I love just as much. But if I come across a cape in the store, I’m not sure I could restrain myself.
Lots of things to look forward to. I’m just happy to be where I am in life, regardless of where I am geographically.

I'm sooooooooo hoping Brandon gets that job so that you guys will be closer to us!!! Fall is Noah's favorite season, too. I'll have to tell him that it's yours as well and you will be his favorite sister-in-law.
