I have combination skin. Some of it’s oily, some of it’s dry, and all of it is a pain to keep clear. Acne sucks, as I’m sure many of you will agree. So when flipping through one of my many copies of Chatelaine, I found a skin care tip that suggests combining a dollop of skin cleaner with a tablespoon of baking soda. So onward to test this combination!!
It really didn’t take a whole of of the skin cleaner to mix in with the baking soda. I <3 my little bowls which are pretty much the perfect size for this kind of thing!
OMG!! A picture of me!?! It only took 20 shots to get one that I’m kind of okay with. Though that’s far fewer frames that it used to take.
The Verdict!
Pros: My skin is indeed glowing! Also, when applying it, it gently exfoliates, which is great since I’ve struggle to find and exfoliant that works well on my skin.
Cons: It made my skin itch a bit, bearable, but annoying. Removing it is a bit tedious because the baking soda leaves behind a bit of residue.
So I’ll probably do this again. Definitely an evening thing, though. As with most things that exfoliate, I am a little red(though not alarmingly so…just enough that it’s probably best to relax and let the skin calm down).

That's a really great photo of you!! Gorgeous!!
How long do you leave it on for?
Jen - Thanks :)
Michelle - I just left it on until it was dry.
I've tried using baking soda and granulated sugar with my face wash for some exfoliation etc but this looks excellent! I didn't leave it on long enough I guess
