In Mourning

Our neon tetras are dead. Not sure why it’s just them, but there it is. It’s a shame for two reasons. Reason one: Our tank looks much emptier now. Reason two: They were so very pretty.  All our other tetras seem to be doing just fine. Though we will likely buy more due to their being much happier in a larger group.

The fish that are left seem to be doing quite well. We’re hoping that we’ll be able to get our hands on some Blue Ram cichilds, as they are one of the few that won’t eat our smaller fishes (supposedly).

I still can’t find my camera to take pictures, so I found some online. Not pictured are one of the remaining tetra breeds that I don’t have a name for. They were supposed to have been silvertips, but the guy at the store accidentally grabbed us a couple of the other tetras that were part of a community tank.

Above you see a Black Skirt Tetra. We haven’t named ours yet.

This is a silvertip tetra. Same size and shape as a neon…but clearly not a neon.

Don’t forget about the giveaway! I’ll be running it until next Wednesday!!

That's strange that the neon tetra's died... Think its slightly to warm or cold for them? You would think the other tetra's would require the same or very similar living conditions though...

The temperature and pH levels are fine. All within range for all the fish in the tank. Sucks to be down to 9 fish :(
