Breakfast Post

 

I’m finally in the habit of eating breakfast.IMG_0607 Not only that, but I’m also in the habit of having oatmeal for breakfast most mornings. This morning was going to be no different. Since I had a newly “empty” jar of peanut butter I thought I’d try doing OIAJ (Oatmeal In A Jar). Simple enough. Throw my ingredients into the jar and pop in the microwave. Put in for 2 minutes. Check halfway through, give a stir. Then it failed me. I fail me, actually. In my excitement I forgot that a plastic peanut butter container might not survive a trip to the microwave.

It didn’t.

My options now? Yogurt. And to not make OIAJ unless my nut butter comes in a glass jar.

I've made oatmeal in the crock pot before - using steel cut oats. SO GOOD.
