Gaming, Getting Fit, and Finding Inspiration.

I’ve been playing my Nintendo DS quite a bit lately. The game? Pokemon Diamond. Holy addiction!! I’m at the point where there isn’t much left for me to do…but I keep going. I’ve already expressed to Brandon how important it is that “we” get the new version that’s going to be hitting the shelves on March 6th. Pokemon Black and White(I’m leaning towards Black version).

I feel like such a nerd that gaming is something I find exciting enough to blog about. Truthfully, my other hobbies have been on the back burner for the past few months. Every time I try to get started on something else…I just don’t want to.

Luckily I’m not a lazy gamer. If not daily, every other day is spent doing something active. Usually it’s the treadmill, but I’m starting to like going to the gym again. I’m really trying to find balance in my sluggish winter days. It’s hard, since –30 weather isn’t exactly ideal for making one feel productive. But like most things, once I get started it’s hard to stop.

I’ve been reading a blog called Carrots ‘n’ Cake. It’s written by a lovely lady named Tina who lives in Boston with her hubby and their pug. It’s a really great blog. She writes about fitness, food, and her life, and how to balance it all in a healthy way. Her approach to food and weight loss is exactly how I try to approach my own diet and activities. Today I was going back in the archives and found some really great posts that have me feeling a lot better about my slow approach to my goal weight. Like all things, it’s nice to see that you aren’t alone :)
