I am now well. And hungry. Because it would appear that being that sick makes your body reject anything you try to feed it. All I managed to ingest was a bit of toast, tea, water, and a bunch of buckley's, strepsil throat lozenges, and some throat spay that numbed my entire mouth. The lozenges were by far my favorite. They contain local anesthetic ^_^
Of course now that I'm able to eat I trying to build my immune system back up. That means fruit and veg. So for the first time in a long time I ate an orange. I'd forgotten how wonderful an orange could be. Brandon and I also managed to find some dragon fruit at our usually non-exotic grocery store. If you've never tried it before, go out and find some! It looks intimidating, but is sooo yummy. Just chop it in half and enjoy with a spoon. And for dinner, red cabbage and leeks sauteed in butter with chicken. The smells coming from my kitchen right now are absolutely divine! The lovely thing about leeks is that they have the essence of onion, but are much less pungent and far more delicious. Here's hoping that my stomach has settled enough for me to actually be able to enjoy my dinner.
